The Real Estate Brokers Association of the Philippines (REBAP) Las Pinas, Muntinlupa, Paranaque (LMP) Chapter shall be conducting 2014 Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Seminars on June 21 and 22, 2014 July 19-20, 2014 (Saturday and Sunday). Seminar Speakers
For Saturday morning, the speaker will be Dr. Nelson Boongaling, Assistant Revenue District Officer of Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) Revenue District Officer (RDO) No. 53-A (Las Pinas). Dr. Boongaling rose from the BIR ranks and has been serving faithfully in the BIR for 28 years. He has the following degrees tucked in his belt: a Doctor in Philosophy, Major in Business Management, a Masters in Commerce (Taxation), with honors, and a Bachelor of Science in Commerce, major in accounting.
Dr. Boongaling also attended the Senior Executive Seminar at Harvard University in the United States. As he constantly seeks to improve himself, he is currently a working law student. I should also mention that Dr. Boongaling is both a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a real estate broker.
I guarantee that real estate brokers will learn a lot from him, specially since his topics are those that all real estate brokers should know, but unfortunately only very few understand. His impressive educational background and extensive experience in taxation really shows when he speaks. Most importantly, he has a good heart and I can say he is a true blue straight-shooting BIR professional, a rare breed indeed.
For Saturday afternoon, Engr. Roberto Cruz will be discussing taxes on real estate transactions and documentation, very important topics that need to be mastered by real estate brokers.
For Sunday, the speaker will be Mr. Roland Angeles, a highly-regarded CPD speaker with more than two decades of experience as a real estate broker. He is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) degree. Go ahead and ask him your burning questions and I believe that you will learn a lot from him.
Seminar Details
Registration will start at 8:00 am, while the seminar proper will be from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm. The fee is P3,000 for the two Saturdays (P2,700 if you are a member of REBAP-LMP). Lunch will be provided. One Saturday session will have eight (8) CPD credit units, so if you attend two Saturday sessions, you will have sixteen (16) units.
The venue will be at the REBAP-LMP Office at the REBAP-LMP Center, 2nd Flr. Tia Maria Bldg. C.V. Starr Ave. Philamlife Village, Las Pinas City. Our venue’s capacity very limited, only around 50 participants maximum can fit in, so I strongly suggest that you reserve a slot already if you are interested to attend.
