If you want to buy a copy, itโ€™s only Php250.00 (IMHO, itโ€™s worth every centavo and more). We were able to find copies at the magazine areas of Powerbooks Megamall and Greenbelt 3. You may opt to ask for assistance from the salesperson because it might take you a longer time if you will search for it among the magazines available in the magazine area.

Happy learning!

  2. I’ve looked at a National Office Supplies store at SM Pala2, Dasmarinas City, no luck. Any store near where I live? Bookstore? I’ll be attending the CDP seminars next week. I’ll ask around there.

  3. Hello good morning! I just checked the magazine if there are available copies of it in megamall powerbooks and national bookstore but no more available. How can i get a copy of this? Thanks

  4. Good day! Is there any way that I can order this online? Not the pdf format, but the magazine. I went to all the bookstores both in SM North Edsa and Megamall, I even went to the grocery store, but wasn’t able to find one. The people from National Bookstore and Powerbooks were both saying the stocks were already pulled out because there’s already a new issue. Please help!

  5. Hi Jay,

I could not find a copy anymore. I’ve been to powerbooks atc and greenbelt, national megamall. Where can still find one?

  7. HI guys, I just got a copy yesterday. It was very hard to find one because usually it is out of stock. There are still 2 remaining copies at National book store in Market market mall. The magazine is very helpful specially in dealing with taxes to pay when buying and selling a property. For all newbies in the industry i recommend you to buy 1, its just P250, its better you buy it before you purchase a property.

  8. Merry Christmas Everyone!

Thank you Mr. & Mrs. Castillo for making this wonderful magazine. I am excited to have one, but I am currently out of the country.

Is there a possibility that you can sell e-book copy for tablets or computer?

    I am excited to a have a copy. =)

    Thank you and God Bless!

    1. Hi Maria, we hope the publisher will grant our “suggestion” to have this available in ebook format (should be readable in tablets). ๐Ÿ˜‰

      Thank you also!

    1. Hi Arturo, should be available nationwide in most National Bookstore branches but we the editor-in-chief said they can’t be 100% sure. I guess you will have to ask a friend or relative to check if it’s available in Naga.

  9. Hi Jay and Cherry,
will surely get this. And I like the idea of reading a book on real estate investing in the Philippine setting to be written by Filipinos. I’ve tried reading books by foreign authors and I really find it hard to understand. Maybe it’s the way they phrase it? Or I’m just looking for Pinoy English hehe. And it has nothing to do with grammar.

    1. Hi Ms. Daryl, I know what you mean, I guess it’s how they explain things that make it hard to understand, especially if the examples are not applicable or very different from what we can do here. Thanks for dropping by!

  10. OFW based in ME, Can i have an e -copy of the magazine? Payment will not be na issue. we can send it thru remittance. I just need an access to infos on RE investing. Thank you

    1. Hi Andy, as mentioned above, we also requested that this would be made available as an ebook. Will keep you posted. Thanks!

    1. Hi Vic, thanks for your comment, I removed your email address to prevent any spam harvesters from getting it and bombarding you with spam.

  11. Hi Cherry does the book contain taxes that are needed to be paid in the BIR? both for commercial property and a personal home? im really confused about the taxes that are to be paid. i already paid capital gains and still the BIR is asking for a VAT of 12%. hope you could me ragarding this. Thanks and more power!

    1. Depends on your property. You need to know if your property is a capital asset or ordinary asset.

In general, if it’s your residence, it’s considered a capital asset and thus you only need to pay CGT.

If it has been in business – as an office or rental property or the title is in the name of a corporation and is not an idle asset – it becomes an ordinary asset and is subject to CWT and VAT if above the VAT threshold

Atty Cherry discusses that more fully here:
      https://www.foreclosurephilippines.com/2012/09/value-added-tax-vat-on-the-sale-of-real-estate.html

      1. Many thanks Ronald, I will get one of your magazines. You guys have been helping a lot of people. Congrats to you, Jay and Cherry. More Power!

    1. Hi Edison, the editor-in-chief will discuss this with the publisher next year, that’s already next week. I hope this pushes through. =)

  12. And I’ll get a copy of this book, hope it is available at National Books. Good books about Real Estate Philippines with quality content is very rare. For Php. 250 is very affordable, hope you guys could make more books. I love collecting Real Estate Books, if you have some to recommend pls let me know. Thank you.

    1. Hi Jerome! We do have plans of making a book. Please let us know what topics you would like to see in a book so we can prepare the needed articles.

For real estate books, I recommend the Automatic Millionaire Homeowner by David Bach and The Weekend Millionaire by Roger Dawson and Mike Summey. I plan to write a summary on these two books and how they can be applied in the Philippine setting.

      Merry Christmas!

      Best regards,

      Cherry

  13. Dennis of Abu Dhabi

Ever since i subscribe to your newsletter, i became interested in Real Property Investing, thanks for sharing all this information to us, esp. to OFWs who are searching for ways on how & where to invest our hard earned money. I already ask my sister to buy this book for me and send it to. More Power!

  14. Lalaine Sobrepena

I will buy the book today at Powerbooks Megamall. I suggest to make this an ebook to facilitate buying in bookstores. Thanks Jay and Cherry ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. You’re welcome Lalaine! We’ll let Heinz know about your suggestion. He is the Editor-in-Chief of MoneySense.

      Best regards,
      Cherry

    1. Hi Joko, should be available in most branches of PowerBooks. We also found a copy at National Bookstore (SM SouthMall branch) and we bought the last copy. It seems there are more copies in Powerbooks.
